If you remember Lily, she was the one Frank mentioned as having a completely different look planned for Halloween. You can meet Frank and hear all about his costume here: 3D Frankenstein Paper Craft

Well, here she is!

With her crooked little nose, green skin, and those bold blue-and-pink hair highlights, Lily is serving a whole new look this Halloween. Her pointy purple hat covered in little stars, black witchy dress, and striped sleeves and stockings complete her spooky new look.

Of course, no witch costume would be complete without a trusty broomstick. Lily is ready to fly across the Halloween night sky, with the moon glowing behind her and bats fluttering all around.

And now, the result of the “best costume” contest is in the kids’ hands! How creative they get with Lily’s colors, patterns, and little details might just decide whether she can steal the spotlight from Frank.

Either way, kids are sure to have a wonderful time bringing this spooky-but-sweet little witch to life and creating their own magical Halloween character.

Learning Through Making This 3D Witch Paper Craft

Making this 3D Witch Paper Craft gives kids a chance to practice fine motor skills and hand control through hands-on paper work. Cutting the different pieces, folding the paper supports, and gluing everything in place require careful movements and coordination.

The project also gives kids plenty of room to make creative choices. They can experiment with colors and patterns for the witch and her surroundings, deciding which combinations they like best.

Working through the different steps also encourages kids to slow down, follow the instructions in order, and stay focused on one project from beginning to end.

Ideas for the Classroom and Homeschool

This printable can fit nicely into a Halloween-themed art lesson or a unit about fictional characters and storytelling. Kids could make their own witch and then use the finished character as part of a creative writing activity.

For younger children, you could keep the activity simple by talking about witches as fictional characters and letting them create a short description of their own character. Older kids could write a short story about where their witch lives, what she does, or what kind of adventure she might have.

It could also be a fun project for a Halloween week or a seasonal classroom activity, giving kids something hands-on to work on alongside their other holiday projects.

3D Witch Paper Craft Instructions

Step 1: Print the 3D Witch Paper Craft Templates on cardstock.

Step 2: Color the templates using colored pencils, crayons, or markers.

For the background, kids can have fun filling the tree and bats with curly, wavy patterns to create a spooky but playful Halloween scene. The moon can be colored with classic Halloween shades like red, orange, and yellow for a bold and glowing look.

Or, they can keep things simple with a solid black tree, golden-yellow moon, and black bats.

There are so many ways to mix colors and patterns, so kids can choose whatever style they like and make the scene their own.

Step 3: Carefully cut out all the pieces, including the witch, broom, moon, bats and tree.

Step 4: Cut the grid into strips of five rectangles. Fold along the marked lines and glue rectangle 1 to rectangle 5 to form a rectangle-shaped support.

Step 5: Glue the tree, bats, and moon onto an A4 sheet of colored paper.

Then glue the witch’s black cape onto the moon as shown in the picture.

Step 6: Glue the rectangular supports onto the witch’s head, arms, and legs, as well as onto the broom.

Step 7: Glue all the parts with the rectangular supports around the witch’s cape, matching them to the corresponding positions shown in the picture.
